Criticizing a $659 million GOP border bill as not doing enough to help illegal immigrants Tuesday, House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) implored lawmakers to “have a heart” and embrace the flood of people coming to the country illegally.

“It’s not just about having a heart, it’s about having a soul,” Pelosi said. “And the soul of our country is about respecting the dignity and worth of every person. The soul of our country is about giving every person access to rights who is in our country.”

Pelosi, citing an unnamed friend, said that there should be no “deportation without representation.”

“So I also thank the groups who are here who advocate for proper representation,” she said.

When the Democratic Party speaks to the Americans about man’s soul, it’s time to hit the confessional box and there to say these things…..

Bless me Father….For, I have sinned.

As to specifics, Father….

Let’s just say that Sacred Theology is not the Democratic Party’s strong suit.

As to what the Democratic Party and its minions in the press services call “immigration reform,” let it be said clearly here that what the American people want is:

Simply the best President we could ever hope to have.

Today, Bastille Day, 2014, suggests to us these thoughts:

Despite all his tribulations, on a positive note, man adjusts—men always adjust.

Nobody outside this city at Washington or at Brussels, has ever heard of, or attends to, the IMF, the World Bank, the UN or any individual political leader. Nobody cares about such silly little groups of men.

Real human beings, finding themselves blocked, finding themselves bereft of solutions to problems, simply make private deals and bypass the brain-dead class altogether.

Politics will not, cannot, save anybody except those who feed directly from politics and government–those are large groups at Washington and Brussels and in the colleges and the press services, but we must recognize that their presence is non-existent everywhere else.

The great majorities of actual human beings these groups seek to control simply ignore these groups. The groups who seek to govern make speeches to each other about each other–they live in a hallow vacuum of their own design. Nobody else cares.

Trying to divine ways to make politics work better is a silly vanity. Politics itself is of no importance to man. It cannot be made better because it exists separately from normal man. Man never asked to engage in politics and has no desire to ever change his mind on that count.

I always find it funny and endearing that the Americans are so terribly naive. The other day, a girl came to me and said:

“Term limits are the only solution.”

I said: “The only solution to what?”

She said: “To government’s being not responsive to the needs and demands of the people.”

I said; “Oh that, you mean a revolution, don’t you my dear?”

She said: “Yes, I mean that’s it, I guess I mean..a revolution.”

I said: “A brilliant girl..a charmer in our midst!”

The Americans forget that man has never evinced the vaguest interest in governing himself or any capacity to do so.

In our Revolutionary War, fully two-thirds, likely more, either supported the Crown–my family–or ignored the enterprise altogether–most all others.

The premise of the revolution was that God had granted to man “self-manifest rights” to govern himself.

These rights are not “self-manifest” to me any more so than the claimed rights to divine imperial rule are “self-manifest.”

What is far closer to being “self-manifest” is that man does not wish to govern himself–he wishes to be left alone.

Neither the American Revolutionaries nor anyone else has ever put it to a vote and said to the Americans directly:

“Do you want to exercise your self-manifest right to govern yourself?”

Were the American Revolutionaries or anyone else to have asked this question, they would have found that the great majority of men have no interest in self-governance–or, more broadly, in any governance.

Man does not want to be governed…by himself or anyone else.

More so…Man cannot be governed..by himself or anyone else.

Man has never expressed the slightest interest in being governed.

That is the central lesson of history–the lesson that…..the desire to concoct schemes to control man is always doomed to failure.

This is why those who think they run things are always so angry and vindictive. They want to control man and everything he does–but it’s just not working–man cannot be controlled, thank God, so all the planning of the central planners is, ultimately, for naught.

The capacity of central governments and the one-world petulant children to control man’s actions are very, very limited. They are not a real threat to human beings.

At worst case, government men are nuisances, pests and annoyances. Real human beings simply work around them. They form parallel social groupings based on personal needs and inspired by personal solutions.

Individuals create, often not knowingly, parallel societies, based on personal associations, cash transactions and self-interested initiatives.

All governments collapse and fail under their own weight and inability to be useful to anyone not a member of them.

Man himself adjusts.

Man’s capacity to adjust is, at the end, that which makes him free.

It is likewise that which makes him not governable.
