No surprise Papas.

At Roma, inside The Collective Self, there are no surprise Papas.

What people forget about the Papa, the current Papa, any Papa, is this:

He is elected by a very select group of senior men who know all there is to know about Him..that is to say:

Papa Franciscum, while He may be a surprise to some outside the inner circle, is no surprise to the College of Cardinals, who elected Him.

So, to say that Papa Franciscum surprised everybody and turned out liberal or some such, or is at odds with Papa Benedictus or some other such, misses the entire point, which is this:

The selection of a particular Papa IS the message that The Sacred College of Cardinals is trying to convey to the Catholic flock and to the world at large. It cannot be otherwise. These senior men all know one another very, very well.

When they choose One of Their Own to be Papa, They are choosing their Collective Self…they know exactly what they are getting in their New Papa and why and there are never any surprises.

Never, Ever.

And that is because Papa Franciscum IS Their Collective Self.

He is the Others.

The Others are He.
