Negroes were first brought to what is now called America by Englishmen and Continental Europeans, who, today collectively pretend that did not happen and that it was Americans who brought Negroes to our shores.
The, seemingly endless, obsession of the left with my treatment of Negroes in America neglects, ever, to any make mention of the indubitable fact that Negroes were brought to America by Europeans who, to this day, consider themselves as blameless bystanders concerning the past and present plight of the Negroes.
~~
Wherever I go in Europe these days and to England as well, I am forever set upon and regaled by European and English leftists, who seem to multiply, arithmetically, in number my each trip over and who, to a man, look askance when I say to them:
~~
“It was not I, Sir, or the Americans who brought the Negroes to my shores first in chains and then in other, later bondages, but rather, it was you, Sirs, my English and European critics, who shipped the Negroes here to America.”
~~
In England and on the Continent, to say nothing of in America Herself, there seems a debate endless over my mistreatment of Negroes, but not even a vague recognition, no, not a peep of recognition, that Negroes, just as everyone else in America, came here from Europe.
~~
In England and on the Continent there is no anguish and wailing and self-flagellation over the plight of Negroe slaves once owned in those nations and who now live there still in lesser bondages.
~~
Nobody mentions this issue in England or on the Continent at all, save to attack myself and America generally for my quilt in the slave trades.
~~
One would think to listen to them, when I travel over, that they never owned slaves themselves when, they, themselves, invented the slave trades themselves, not the Americans.
~~
Europeans and Englishmen evince no personal concern, not to say quilt, over the plight of the Negroes at their own hands but are ever quick to chastise and vilify America for Her treatment of Negroes, who, beyond debate, were sent to America by Englishmen and Continental Europeans.
~~
This high talk never ceases, notwithstanding that there is absolutely nothing Americans can do about the plight of Negroes brought to our shores that has not now been done, again and again and again unceasing still and yet our English and Continental critics advance a debate in rebuttal in a manner suggestive of Malthusianism, suggesting that, as do American leftists, my guilt as to the plight of Negroes here expands exponentially and daily, despite my having done all I can for Negroes brought here to America, not by me, but by my English and Continental critics themselves in the first place.

He says out loud what many people think deep down, and what the politicians refrain from saying because they are either too demagogic or too chicken. Le Pen, with all his faults and qualities, is probably the only one who thinks about the interests of France before his own."~~ French actor~~Alain Delon
