I’m as much a history buff as any man and I am very saddened by what has happened to my city but it must be said clearly that my city has altogether ceased being responsive to what the Americans want from their government.
~~
What would the founders of our country say to a condition in which the government had altogether ceased being responsive to the needs and desires of the people?
~~
They would, to a man, advocate for revolution.
~~
You know this and I know this.
~~
All the Americans know this.
~~
What is needed now is a leader who will act on this desire for revolution.
~~
The revolution that will rectify the present day situation at Washington needn’t be violent, although there are those who do seek violence.
~~
Left untended, left as business as usual, violence against the current conduct of government at Washington ultimately will be the resort.
~~
I do not seek that resort, nor, I think, do most Americans.
~~
That said, needs must, and if there is no other way to bring needed change, violence will resort.
~~
Violent or no, the revolution that will rectify the situation here at Washington will have to be sweeping and comprehensive and must be lead by someone who understands, not Washington, but rather lead by someone who understands the Americans and their desires for the type of government they want and intend to get.
~~
The people seek:
~~
A new American government whose hallmarks are freedom, not control, liberty not indenture.
~~
Look at all of he main contenders for 2016.
~~
What do they do?
~~
What do they tell us of themselves?
~~
In the main, they wave about in the air, their resumes and brag on the tele~vision that they know about Washington and about government more so than do the other candidates.
~~
In so doing:
~~
They miss the entire point of the exercise.
~~
The election is not about understanding Washington or government, it is rather about understanding the Americans and what the Americans want from Washington and their government.
~~
Standing aside from the conventional candidates is Mr Trump who has no Washington resume to wave around on the tele~vision and does not pretend to care how this city now works.
~~
Instead, Mr Trump endeavors to understand the Americans and what they want from Washington and how they want their government to work.
~~
Trump recognizes that the Americans don’t want to be just another country in a globalized world of no more consequence than any other country.
~~
Trump recognizes that the Americans want to be:
SUPREME.
~~
That is what makes Mr Trump’s candidacy different and very compelling and likewise very scary to those who take their living by serving as paid retainers and functionaries of this, now most sadly so, dysfunctional city.
