I think that America was founded upon a blasphemous notion that the founder’s based on what they claimed, without pointing to any Biblical evidence, as God’s righteous plan for man.

The GOP is simply, marginally, less oily, slimy and smarmy than is the alternative.

Neither Party has the capacity to satisfy, energize or excite me.
~~
American republicanism claims to know as “self-evident” truth, that all men are created equal, a dubious conjecture in the very best case and that man’s Creator imbued all men with certain “rights inalienable,” a notion that is, quite simply:

Blasphemous.

The only legitimate government is based upon Catholic Royalism.

This note is, in part, inspired by the unbridled, yes, cancerous, hubris of American politicians, one of whom, young Mr Cruz of Texas, was raised by his itinerant preacher father to think that junior was anointed by God to lead us to the mountaintop.

When one talks at home in sweet green England, of pushing the boat out, it is hard for me to imagine pushing it much further out to sea than have Cruz pere et son fils.

How, in any substantive way, does that hubris differ from the Divine Right of Kings to Rule that has been the universal maxim that has governed mankind since the Creation?
