Egypt: Bloody Crackdown Likely to Worsen Political Crisis

Situation Report: Egypt’s interim military government this morning began a massive operation by the military and police to break up two huge sit-in protests by ousted President Mohammed Morsi’s Muslim Brotherhood supporters. Security forces used bulldozers and tear gas to break up the protests. There are also reports of weapons being fired by both sides and of two journalists killed in the crossfire.~~Lignet News Service
